Duo Sports Thundercats
The Duo Sports Thundercats have returned to their roots as an international team, dating back to their first game in 2006 vs. Team Canada in San Diego and following games in England, Mexico, Italy, Costa Rica, and New Zealand internationally the Thundercats switched to the San Diego Thundercats due to playing with a mostly US based roster, however in 2013 the team has since dropped the San Diego returned to being called Duo Sports and now has a roster with both American and Mexican players. The Thundercats are also one of the original members of the league and that leads to the classic rivalry between the Thundercats and Astros Mexicali which through 5 games since 2010 is dead even with 2 wins 2 losses and 1 tie between the 2 teams. In 2012 the Thundercats and league champion Diablos also played a classic set of games in Ensenada in back to back weeks at the end of the 2012 season with the Diablos winning both games as they went down to the wire. So far in 2013 with a revamped squad the Thundercats have beaten the Diablos, Cuervos, and Galgos in friendship games and are looking to stay on that track during the 2013 regular season. Key returners such as QB Justin Mc Kenzie, OL/DL Ricky Thomas,DB/WR BB Pettaway, and WR Phillip Williams are looking to continue rolling with new comers WR Olaf Gutierrez, WR/DB Pollo Yo, LB mike Rodriguez, and TE/LB Arturo Rosales.
Strengths: The best way to describe the Thundercats strength is simply say offense, the Thundercats ability to score from anywhere on the field with big plays on the ground and in the air is the main reason the Thundercats are in almost every game they play down to the wire. The Thundercats play an up tempo spread offense and down the stretch in the last 3 games of the 2012 season QB Justin Mc Kenzie accounted for 14 TD’s (9 passing and 4 rushing) against the Aztecs and Diablos twice. DB/WR BB Pettaway made big play after big play and RB Andrew Follins was huge on the ground as well. The Thundercats secondary was also an explosive unit as they scored 7 td’s in interception returns adding another threat for opposing teams.
Weaknesses: The Thundercats in the past year had a huge problem with depth, playing many games with only 9 to 11 players and being worn down as the game goes on. Additionally the Thundercats have had issues stopping the run and with teams such as the Diablos and Astros the Thundercats run defense will have to step up to remain one of the top teams in the league.
Overall: The Thundercats have a lot of team speed and like college football powerhouse Oregon it has led to a lot of points and big plays but not the championship. Even though the Diablos defeated the Aztecs in the Super 8 bowl itself the best games of the year were the Diablos vs. Thundercats back to back games to end the regular season and semi final and the Thundercats vs. Astros tie. The Thundercats will recieve the power ranking of #2 because of their arena activity from the end of 2012 into the hot streak they are on entering 2012, I was tempted to give the Astros the #2 ranking but the Astros only played 2 games last year(A win over the Diablos and a tie with the Thundercats) and have yet to be seen this year, but in a situation where the Diablos have won and lost against the Thundercats, the Thundercats have won lost and tied against the Astros and the Astros have beaten the Diablos the top 3 teams are very closely matched, the Thundercats have only a slight advantage over the Astros due to the fact that they have been playing more games.

El Duo sports Thundercats han regresado a sus raíces como un equipo internacional, que se remonta a su primer juego en 2006 contra el equipo de Canadá en San Diego y los siguientes juegos en Inglaterra, México, Italia, Costa Rica y Nueva Zelanda internacionalmente los Thundercats cambiaron a los Thundercats de San Diego debido a jugar con una lista de Estados Unidos principalmente, sin embargo en 2013 el equipo ha caído desde entonces el San Diego volvió a ser llamado Duo Sports y ahora cuenta con una lista con jugadores de Estados Unidos y México. Los Thundercats son también uno de los miembros originales de la liga y que conduce a la clásica rivalidad entre los Thundercats y Astros Mexicali que a través de 5 juegos desde 2010 es muerto incluso con 2 victorias 2 derrotas y 1 empate entre los dos equipos. En 2012 los Thundercats y Liga campeón Diablos también jugó un clásico conjunto de juegos en Ensenada de espalda a espalda semanas al final de la temporada 2012 con los Diablos ganar ambos partidos como descendieron al cable. Hasta ahora en 2013 con un equipo renovado los Thundercats han derrotado a los Diablos, Cuervos y Galgos en juegos de la amistad y están buscando para permanecer en la pista durante la temporada regular de 2013. Retornadores claves como QB Justin Mc Kenzie, OL/DL Ricky Thomas, DB/WR BB Pettaway y WR Phillip Williams busca para continuar rodando con los recién llegados WR Olaf Gutierrez, WR/DB Pollo Yo, LB mike Rodríguez y TE/LB Arturo Rosales.
Fortalezas: La mejor manera de describir los Thundercats fuerza es decir simplemente ofensa, la capacidad de Thundercats para anotar desde cualquier parte en el campo con grandes jugadas en el suelo y en el aire es la razón principal que son los Thundercats en casi todos los juegos que se juegan el cable. Los Thundercats juego un ritmo ascendente separó ofensa y en la recta final en los últimos tres juegos del 2012 temporada QB Justin Mc Kenzie representaron 14 de TD (paso 9 y 4 corriendo) contra los aztecas y Diablos dos veces. DB/WR BB Pettaway hizo gran jugada tras gran jugada y RB Andrew Follins era enorme en el suelo también. La secundaria Thundercats también era un aparato explosivo como anotaron 7 en intercepción td devuelve agregando otra amenaza para oponerse a los equipos.
Debilidades: Los Thundercats el año pasado tuvo un gran problema con la profundidad, jugar muchos juegos con sólo 9 a 11 jugadores y se desgastan como sigue el juego. Adicionalmente los Thundercats han tenido problemas detener la carrera y con equipos como los Diablos y Astros la defensa Thundercats Ejecutar tendrá que intensificar siga siendo uno de los mejores equipos de la liga.
General: Los Thundercats tienen mucha velocidad de equipo y como Colegio fútbol potencia Oregon ha conducido a un montón de puntos y grandes jugadas pero no el campeonato. Aunque los Diablos derrotaron a los aztecas en el recipiente de Super 8 sí mismo los mejores juegos del año fueron los Diablos vs Thundercats hacia atrás juegos para terminar la temporada regular y semifinal y los Thundercats vs Astros de atan. Los Thundercats recibirá el power ranking de #2 debido a su actividad de arena desde el final de 2012 en la buena racha que están entrando en 2012, estuve tentado a dar a los Astros el ranking #2 pero los Astros sólo jugó 2 juegos el año pasado (una victoria sobre los Diablos y un empate con los Thundercats) y tienen todavía que ser vistos este año, pero en una situación donde los Diablos ganaron y perdieron contra los Thundercats, los Thundercats han ganado perdido y atado contra los Astros y los Astros han ganado los Diablos los 3 mejores equipos son muy muy igualados, los Thundercats tiene sólo una ligera ventaja sobre los Astros debido al hecho de que ellos han estado jugando a más juegos.
