The Super 8 Football League for the second year in a row is running 2 seasons, this year the Fall season kicks off in October and finish in December with the newly named Baja Bowl to replace last year’s Winter Bowl Championship. This also is possibly the most complete and competitive Super 8 season to date. 5 of the 6 teams in entered in this fall season have play off experience and 3 of the 6 have won Super 8 championships. Here is a preview of the season and the 6 teams playing this winter:

Bufalos Mexicali- The Bufalos are coming off winning the 2015 Super 8 Bowl Championship for the summer season. Led by WR/DB/Return man Paul Haro, QB/DE Achilles Pulido, and Coach/Offensive Lineman Daniel Lopez the Bufalos  are coming into this winter season after having the league’s top rated defense and number 2 rated offense. A key to the Bufalos success is WR/DB Paul Haro’s return skills as he has led the league in kick returns the past 2 seasons.

Duo Sports Thundercats- The Thundercats are coming off their 4th consecutive finals appearance winning Super 8 Bowl’s II and III as well as last year’s Winter Bowl Championship, the Thundercats streak ended in Super 8 Bowl IV with a loss to the Bufalos. The Thundercats have reloaded for the fall season and are coming into the season with the leagues top rated offense led by QB Justin Mc Kenzie, WR Phillip Williams, and new addition WR Christian Osorio. The Thundercats which was the league’s second ranked defense is led by LB Arturo Rosales and DB Richard Osuna. The key to the Thundercats will be increasing their production on the ground QB Justin Mc Kenzie has led the team in Rushing TD’s the last 3 seasons and with RB’s Andrew Follins, Manny Pires, and Didier Valdez the T-Cats are looking to increase their production on the ground.

Diablos Ensenada- The Diablos have been active playing 11 man in the USA but have returned to Arena in Baja this year, the Diablos were the Super 8 I Bowl champions and runners up at Super 8 Bowl III. Led by QB Julin Malagamba and Defensive End Pepe Sanchez this veteran squad is is back and ready to compete for the championship. Keys to the Diablos season are finding new targets for QB Julin Malagamba as a few of their old stars have retired, lucky for the Diablos they still have a solid offensive line and a stong defense it will be interesting to see how they fair in the new more competetive Super 8.

All Blacks Tijuana- The All Blacks first season was last winter so this marks their 3rd season and 1 year anniversary of the team. The All Blacks have bee a play off qualifier since season 1 and have mixed it up with the best teams in the league however this year will be the toughest in this young team’s history as there are 5 solid teams fighting for only 4 play off spots. Keys to the All Blacks season will rely on breaking in a new QB and getting the ball to their top WR/DB Roberto Ramirez (also the league’s second leading  kick returner), and establishing their power run game with RB/DE Puma and LB/FB Palomilla.  Palomilla and LB Valdez  lead a solid run defense.

Siervos Tijuana- The Siervos are a defense first team led by LB Ruzzo and a host of solid defensive lineman, RB’s Abel Torres and Ever Lopez have been the top ball carriers for the Siervos for years in their mostly ground oriented offense. The Siervos have been a play off team since their days under previous names Aztecs and Galgos where they lost Super 8 Bowl I and have been smi finalist the past 2 summer seasons. This will be their first Fall/Winter season but the Siervos are coming off possibly their best season overall and are looking to push for their first championship. Keys to the Siervos Season are building a solid secondary to match their tough run defense and to find or develop a QB to add some passing to their solid ground game.

Krakens Rosarito- The Krakens are in their first season and have a lot to prove, they are a new team in a new city for the league and stepping into the league at a time when it will be the most competetive season in league history. Coach/Lineman Kevin Martinez is leading a young but tough group of youngsters who are looking to make a splash in the 5 year old league. We will learn alot about the Krakens this season as they will face all veteran teams with play off and championship experience. The keys to Krakens season is to just be competitive and learn the arena game.

El Super 8 Liga de Fútbol para el segundo año consecutivo se está ejecutando 2 temporadas, este año la temporada de otoño comienza en Octubre y termina en Diciembre con el recién nombrado Baja Bowl para reemplazar Campeonato Winter Bowl del año pasado. Esto también es posiblemente la estación más completa y competitiva Super 8 hasta la fecha. 5 de los 6 equipos inscritos en esta temporada de otoño tienen play off experiencia y 3 del 6 han ganado Super 8 campeonatos. Búfalos Mexicali- El Búfalos se viene de ganar el 2015 Super 8 Campeonato de Tazón para la temporada de verano. Duo Deportes Thundercats- Los Thundercats vienen de su cuarta final consecutiva apariencia ganadora II de Super 8 Bowl y III, así como Campeonato de Tazón de invierno del año pasado, la racha Thundercats terminó en Super 8 Tazón IV con una derrota ante el Búfalos. Los Thundercats han recargado para la temporada de otoño y están entrando en la temporada con las ligas más votados ofensiva liderada por el mariscal de campo Justin Mc Kenzie, WR Phillip Williams, y la nueva adición WR cristiana Osorio. El Thundercats que era defensa segundo clasificado de la liga está liderado por LB Arturo Rosales y DB Richard Osuna. Diablos Ensenada- Los Diablos han estado activos jugando 11 hombre en los EE.UU., pero han vuelto a Arena en Baja este año, los Diablos fueron los campeones del Super 8 I Bowl y postores en Super 8 Bowl III. Liderados por QB Julin Malagamba y el ala defensiva Pepe Sánchez este equipo veterano está de regreso y listo para competir por el campeonato. Claves para la temporada Diablos están encontrando nuevos objetivos para QB Julin Malagamba como algunas de sus viejas estrellas se han retirado, por suerte para los Diablos todavía tienen una línea ofensiva sólida y una defensa stong que será interesante ver cómo justo en el nuevo más competitivos Super 8.

All Blacks Tijuana El All Blacks primera temporada fue el pasado invierno por lo que esta marca su tercera temporada y 1 año de aniversario del equipo. Los All Blacks tienen abeja un play off de clasificación desde la temporada 1 y se han mezclado para arriba con los mejores equipos de la liga, sin embargo este año será el más duro de la historia de este joven equipo, ya que hay 5 equipos sólidos que luchan por sólo 4 jugar fuera de los puntos. Claves para la temporada de All Blacks dependerán de romper en un nuevo mariscal de campo y conseguir la bola a su principal WR / DB Roberto Ramírez (también segundo líder regresador de patadas de la liga), y el establecimiento de su juego terrestre de poder con RB / DE Puma y LB / FB Palomilla. Palomilla y LB Valdez llevan una defensiva terrestre sólido.

Siervos Tijuana El Siervos son un primer equipo de la defensa liderada por LB Ruzzo y una serie de liniero defensivo sólido, de RB Abel Torres y Ever López han sido los portadores de bolas superiores para el Siervos durante años en su ofensiva en su mayoría de tierra orientada. Los Siervos han sido un equipo play off ya que sus días bajo nombres anteriores aztecas y Galgos donde perdieron Super 8 Bowl y han sido finalista gar las últimas 2 temporadas de verano. Esta será su primera temporada de otoño / invierno, pero los Siervos están saliendo posiblemente su mejor temporada en general y están buscando para presionar por su primer campeonato. Claves para la Temporada Siervos están construyendo una sólida secundaria para que coincida con su dura defensiva terrestre y para encontrar o desarrollar un mariscal de campo para añadir un poco de pasada a su juego de tierra firme.

Krakens Rosarito- El Krakens están en su primera temporada y tienen mucho que demostrar, son un nuevo equipo en una nueva ciudad de la liga y entrar en la liga en un momento en que será la temporada más competitivos en la historia de la liga. Entrenador / instalador de líneas Kevin Martínez lidera un grupo joven pero difícil de jóvenes que están buscando para hacer un chapoteo en la liga de 5 años. Vamos a aprender mucho sobre la Krakens esta temporada, ya que se enfrentarán todos los equipos de veteranos con el play off y la experiencia de campeonato. Las claves de la temporada Krakens es simplemente ser competitivos y aprender el juego de la arena.
